Gateway Family,

It is such a joy to worship together on Sunday mornings!  We are thankful for the privilege we have to worship the Lord as we study His Word, sing His praises, and seek Him in prayer together each week.

As you have noticed in recent weeks, the sanctuary is filling up, making it challenging for guests and those who arrive late to find seats.  In talking with our greeting team coordinators, a few simple steps will help us make room for everyone

Would you assist us on Sunday mornings in the sanctuary in these ways?

  • Most importantly, look for people you do not know and introduce yourself to them!  If you see someone looking for a seat, help them locate one.  Let’s all see ourselves as part of the greeting team!

  • Please do not put your belongings on empty seats you are not sitting in or saving for someone you know for sure is coming to be with you.  We know it is convenient to put our Bibles and coffee mugs on seats next to us, but it makes it look like someone is sitting there.  Please keep your items only on the seats you are using (or on the Bible racks under the seat) so the greeters can quickly identify available seats.

  • Please sit toward the middle of each row if possible so it is easier for others to see available seats along the aisles.

  • Please do not leave empty seats between you and the people sitting on the row near you.  Fill in any empty seats between individuals or families, keeping available seats on the aisles.

  • For the rows in the back marked as "saved for guests," please keep those seats available.  We know we have friends who are “back row Baptists” and really like those seats, but we kindly ask that you move forward and keep those reserved for guests and late comers.

  • Parents, if you see we are low on available seats, consider having your younger children who will be headed to Kids Worship stand with you and sit in your lap until they exit.

Thank you for helping us make room for everyone on Sunday mornings!  We are so thankful for all the new friends God has sent our way, and we look forward to making room to welcome them!
